Usability

It would be senseless to optimize a website that is not useful. That's why usability is the most important factor in our development process.

Attention to web usability ensures that visitors will find what they need, and that they have enough information to make a decision - without having to think about navigation.

World-renowned usability expert Jakob Nielsen says it best:

Usability is defined by five quality components:

• Learnability: How easy is it for users to accomplish basic tasks the first time they encounter the design?
• Efficiency: Once users have learned the design, how quickly can they perform tasks?
  
• Memorability: When users return to the design after a period of not using it, how easily can they reestablish proficiency?
• Errors: How many errors do users make, how severe are these errors, and how easily can they recover from the errors?
• Satisfaction: How pleasant is it to use the design?

There are many other important quality attributes. A key one is utility, which refers to the design's functionality: Does it do what users need? Usability and utility are equally important: It matters little that something is easy if it's not what you want. It's also no good if the system can hypothetically do what you want, but you can't make it happen because the user interface is too difficult.

If a website isn't useful, then nothing else matters!

Content

Web content is what organic search engine optimization is made of! Useful content - and lots of it - is critical to the success of your web development project.

What is content? Articles, a glossary, tips, detailed descriptions of your products and services - where your keywords are found. For SEO purposes, you should have a minimum of 250 words on a content page.

If you do not have content written, SEO copywriting services will be a component of your project.

Design

The web design component covers details such as the colors of your text and background, use of graphics, fonts, and the areas of your page layout that are not already determined by SEO elements. This is referred to as the "look and feel" of your website.

From a design perspective, we specialize in websites with clean, uncluttered layouts that make good use of white space, i.e., space for the eyes to rest.

A widely accepted study on color combinations states that "the most readable color combination is black text on a white background." Of course, we understand that many people find that combination too boring!

Fortunately, in the same study, it was also found that dark text on a light background was rated more readable overall (blue text with a white background, black text with a gray background, etc.).
